Biodiversity

BPCP’s Biodiversity sub-committee arranges a number of events and projects including:

  • Annual bees, moths and bats workshops.
  • An 800 metre biodiversity hedge project to create a new wildlife corridor along the Tulse Hill side of the Park to benefit native species including ‘red listed’ Stag Beetles and House Sparrows. BPCP secured £20,000 from Veolia Environmental Trust and Biffawards for the hedge project which was planted in 2013.
  • A new wildflower slope by Brockwell Lido planted in 2013 to make use of a bare patch of land and provide a new habitat for bees and butterflies.
