Want to run a community event in Brockwell Park? Apply now!

IMG_1640If you are planning a small scale outdoor community event in 2015 we want to hear from you.

‘MADD’ is a season of community and cultural events at Brockwell Park’s performance space, by Brockwell Hall, between May and October, and open to all sections of the local community.

Events are 2 hours in length or more (including events that comprise a number of activities) and we can provide public liability insurance, basic PA system and speakers, chairs, publicity and some volunteer stewards.

You can also apply for up to £500 for performance fees, materials, refreshments and transport. The average award for afternoon events in 2014 was £280.

The fund is likely to be oversubscribed. We are looking for around 10 to 15 community events that are free, encourage local people’s use and enjoyment of Brockwell Park and that will take place on a Sunday afternoon between May and October 2015.

In 2015 events can include poetry, storytelling, lectures, exhibitions, fun days, biodiversity and sport events as well as music, arts, drama and dance.
