It’s that time of year when our young swans need to move home. They are just getting too old and their parents will soon try to drive them away. In a more natural situation they would just fly off following a water course until they found a new space to wait and grow up until they are ready to pair up and breed. But there’s nowhere to go from Brockwell Park except maybe Tulse Hill, which isn’t ideal!

Yesterday a group of swan volunteers arrived early to gather them up and take them to a new home.
