Members of the BPCP include, for example, local residents’ associations, groups organising activities in the park, and local societies with a focus on the park.

Brixton BMX Club

Park Group

The Brixton BMX Club is a membership organisation open to BMX bicycle enthusiasts. The Club practices at Brockwell Park’s BMX track on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 am until midday.

Brockwell Gate Management Committee

Community Group

Brockwell Gate is a modern development overlooking Brockwell Park and built on the site of the former Dick Sheppard School. BGMC represents 173 shareholders of the two thirds of the development that is private housing, with management conducted by a team of committed residents – some of whom are also active in the Park and in the local community. The other third of the development (Bristowe Close) is social housing managed independently by Metropolitan Housing Trust.

Brixton Society

The Brixton Society helps to shape the future of Brixton by working to understand the surrounding history and built environment.

Brockwell Lido Users

Park Group

Brockwell Lido Users is a membership organisation which aims to ensure that the services within the Brockwell Lido complex are maintained and extended. You do not need to be a member of BLU to use the Lido.

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses

Park Group

Located next the historic Walled Garden, The Community Greenhouses is a nursery that promotes local food growing and healthy eating; and provides education and training in sustainable horticulture.

Brockwell Park Miniature Railway

Park Group

A 7.25 inch gauge miniature railway is open 11am-4pm on Sundays between April and October, journeying from Herne Hill gate to Brockwell Lido and back again.

Cressingham Gardens Residents Association

Community Group

The Cressingham Gardens Residents Association meets regularly in the Tenants Hall (pictured, off Hardel Walk) to discuss the management and maintenance of the Estate. BPCP has held a number of its public meetings at the Tenants Hall and run community projects from there.

St Matthews Project

Park Group

The St Matthews Project offers free structured football and coaching sessions to young people aged from 6 to 21. It delivers a wide range of support and activities to young people beyond the football pitch.

Herne Hill Forum

Herne Hill Forum is a well established community forum in SE24 which has recently started local markets on Sundays at Railton Road.

Herne Hill Society

Community Group

The Herne Hill Society is a membership organisation open to anyone who lives or works in Herne Hill. It aims to improve and maintain and enhance the SE24 area for the benefit of residents, visitors and local businesses.

Friends of Brockwell Park (FoBP)

Park Group

Friends of Brockwell Park (FoBP) is a membership organisation that organises an annual tree ceremony, a Spring and Autumn walk around the park, a Winter Fair and more regular missives to Lambeth Town Hall.

London Wildlife Trust

Community Group

London Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated solely to protecting the capital’s wildlife and wild spaces.

Norwood Forum

Community Group

A well established community forum for the Norwood area.

South London Botanical Institute

Community Group

Based on the Norwood Road, SLBI provides facilities for the study of plants including ecology and conservation, and aims to encourage public interest in all aspects of plant life.

St Martin’s Tenants and Residents Association

Community Group

St Martin’s Tenants and Residents Association is a group of residents who live on the St Martin’s Estate in Tulse Hill. It covers Abbots Park, Atwater Close, Challice Way, Ewen Crescent, Gaywood Close, High Trees, Vibart Gardens and part of the estate that’s on Tulse Hill and Upper Tulse Hill.

Tulse Hill Estate Tenants and Residents Association

Community Group

Tulse Hill Estate Tenants and Residents Association (THETRA) meets regularly at Purser House Community Flat to discuss the management and maintenance of the Estate which includes around 900 properties. In partnership with Lambeth Living, they recently refurbished and re-opened Jubilee Community Hall (opposite Ellacombe House / near Craster Road) which had been closed for 25 years. The Hall is available to hire by all Tulse Hill residents.
