So if you are free – just come along and join us. As you can see from the mini-river by the Lido, you will need boots!
See you there.
This year we left the plants to self-seed but at the end of the rotivating we will be adding additional seed that was gathered in September 2014.
If you have any free time on either day – please come and join us. Even if you can give two hours, it makes a difference. There are lots of jobs to be done – raking, weed and stubble clearance and a bit of digging and disposing of stones, bricks and general rubbish.
Please wear good strong boots/shoes and a warm jacket. Hoping to see you there!
Brockwell Park Community Partners (BPCP) has arranged a special community stall by Herne Hill main park entrance on Saturday 13th December.
Products are unique and affordable and all proceeds pass to BPCP, a registered charity. There will also be opportunities to help run our community arts and events programme and to get involved in biodiversity projects. See you there!
Volunteers are needed for biodiversity and conservation projects in Brockwell Park, from 19th to 28th November 2014.
No experience is necessary and there are a variety of activities on offer, including wildflower planting.
Tools are supplied and warm clothing and robust footwear is recommended.
The Wildflower Slope by Brockwell Lido was strimmed today by BPCP volunteers.
It was hard work but our profound thanks to the two farmers and their friends who were able to change the strimmer blade for us! Amazing to find two farmers down for the weekend! And Happy Birthday to their friend.
New notices will be put up with the latest information and the planned programme to keep the Park’s Wildflower Slope looking beautiful for next year.
