‘MADD’ is an annual programme of music, arts, drama and dance events in Brockwell Park that are open and accessible to all sections of the local community. Between 2010 and 2015, the Programme attracted around 28,800 people to 79 community events in the Park.
The Programme is administered by BPCP’s Arts and Events Sub-Committee to contribute to the Audience Development Plan for the Park. Between 2011 – 2013, the Programme was supported by the National Lottery under Service Level Agreement with Lambeth Council. In 2014, the Programme was supported by The Peter Minet Trust and 95.8FM Help a Capital Child. In 2015, further support was secured from Lambeth and a contribution from The Friends of Brockwell Park. The Programme’s future is not certain as there is no further funding in 2016 onwards.
12 ‘MAD’ events were staged in 2013 – from a free film night to a music festival attracting a total of 5,800 people.
12 ‘MAD’ events were staged in 2010 – from Fun n Games Day to Alice in the Walled Garden, attracting a total audience of 5,600. Supported by the Grassroots Grants Programme and London Community Foundation.
