Found Festival – potential disruption to Brockwell Park users

The Found Festival takes place on 13th June 2015. This is a commercial arrangement between Lambeth Events Team and Found Series.

Currently the Found Festival site is being constructed in Brockwell Park and will take place around the corral area. The fencing will be in place until 14th June 2015 and dismantled thereafter.

I would like to offer my apologies for any inconvenience caused to Brockwell Park users.

Second Brockwell Park shelter sabotaged

Vandalised shelter 1A second Brockwell Park shelter has been damaged in the space of a few weeks. The vandalism to the shelter on the path between Norwood Lodge and Herne Hill park gate is thought to have taken place over the weekend of 31st January / 1st February 2015. Eight panes of glass have gone completely and a further four have been damaged. The attack, which has been reported to the Metropolitan Police, comes only a few weeks after the tennis court public shelter was burned to the ground by arsonists.

Arson at Brockwell Park

Arson destroys public shelterThe public shelter facility by the Park’s tennis courts was burned down on the evening of Tuesday 13th January 2015 by one or more arsonists. The area is currently taped off.

The Metropolitan Police have been informed and will gather evidence. The debris will be cleared once their investigation is complete.

 

We are saddened by this revolting attack on a public park facility.

Brockwell Hall public toilets update

Brockwell Hall rearThe Park Manager has advised that the ladies toilet at Brockwell Hall will partially reopen on Boxing Day, although one of its cubicles is still out of action as more work is required to bring it back into full use.

 

Meanwhile the disabled toilet by the Temple building is out of order due to vandalism and will be repaired after the Xmas break.
